INTRODUCTION
In Weibull Analysis, also known as life data analysis, the main objective is to make predictions about the life of the equipment/component in the population by fitting a statistical distribution to life data from a representative sample of units. The parameterized distribution for the failure data set can then be used to estimate important life characteristics of the product such as the probability of failure at a specific time, the mean life and the failure rate, to name a few. Wellbore analysis has been included in the new version of API 581 Risk-Based Inspection Methodology and there is a need to understand what Wellbore analysis is all about. This course presents an overview of basic concepts in Weibull analysis and how it is being applied in API 581.

AP Dr Masdi had professional certificate and award gains in Chartered Engineer (UK), HRDF Certified Trainer, Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE-8155) by American Society for Quality (ASQ), Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP- 156299) by Society for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP).
3. Dr Hilmi Hussin(UTP)
