INTRODUCTION
Water is essential to sustain life, and a satisfactory (adequate, safe and accessible) supply must be available to all. Improving access to safe drinking water can result in tangible benefits to health, Every effort should be made to achieve drinking water that is as safe as practicable. Safe drinking water is defined as water that does not represent any significant risk to health over a lifetime of consumption, including different sensitives that may occur between life stages. This course intends to provide fundamental knowledge to participants in water quality and water treatment system and processes.

Dr Husna Takaijudin current position as Senior Lecturer/Researcher, at Centre for Urban Resource Sustainability (CUReS) Institute of Sustainable Building (ISB), UTP. She had 1 year industrial experience with Perunding Amarbina Sdn. Bhd. Dr Husna academic qualification, Diploma in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Degree in Civil Engineering (Hons) from University of Sheffield, Master in Water Engineering from Universiti Putra Malaysia and PhD in Urban Drainage Management from Universiti Sains Malaysia. Urban Stormwater Management, Water Resources Engineering and Irrigation System Design is the area of expertise for her. She had professional certificate as Chartered Engineer (IMarEst).
