COURSE SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

The course begins with vehicle drivetrain road load analysis under different drive cycles and target performance requirements. Participants will be exposed to usage of a common platform, Ms Excel in advanced modelling of the vehicle power and energy pathways with reference to modeling equations and look up tables of components and subsystems data, if available. Forward looking model and optimizations of control algorithm to achieve best performance and energy management in Matlab Simulink environment. Applications of the modeling techniques in this course are applicable to all industries which requires modelling and optimization of a system under dynamic loads.

COURSE CONTENT
  • Vehicle drivetrain fundamentals and subsystems / components characteristics and governing equations.
  • Modelling and simulation of different types of vehicle drivetrains under different drive cycles and target performance requirements.
  • Development of forward looking vehicle drivetrain models and performance optimizations.
  • Applications of modelling and simulation techniques in other industries.

WHO SHOULD JOIN US TO :

  • Amateur / professional motorsports participants, drivetrain engineers from OEMs, R&D scientists / engineers from research communities, engineering post graduate / undergraduate students, maintenance engineers of power plants / factories / vehicle fleet.

OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Develop advanced models of vehicle drivetrain using a common platform of Ms Excel.
  • Develop forward looking vehicle drivetrain models for system performance optimizations using Matlab Simulink.
  • Apply modelling, simulation and optimization techniques learnt within this course to other industries which require similar type of modeling and optimizations under dynamic loads.
