INTRODUCTION
The course will discuss concepts for systematically establishing, defining, and managing the requirements for large, complex, changing, and software-intensive systems from technical, organizational, and management perspectives. It will also adopt an appropriate paradigms and methodologies in the requirements engineering. The course will involve building models of both requirements engineering process and requirements engineering product, concerning both functional and non-functional goals/requirements/specifications, using a systematic decision-making process. This will help you manage the requirements aspect of software projects with different domains, sizes, technologies, platforms, and different practitioners' and customers' experiences. Moreover, an appropriate set of tools, techniques, and best practices will be used to handle software requirements effectively and efficiently.

1. Ts Dr Shuib Basri (UTP)
Ts Dr Shuib Basri is serving as a senior lecturer in Computer and Information Sciences Department at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, one of the top Research Universities in Malaysia. He graduated with an Information and Communication Technology degree from Universiti Utara Malaysia in 1996. He did his Masters Degree in Software System Engineering from Melbourne University in 2002 and PhD in Software Engineering from Dublin City University, Republic of Ireland in 2010.
He has worked with several local and multinational software development. During the service, he is also an active member of research/development team and worked on Tabung Haji, Talent Corp and PETRONAS projects. He has diverse exposure of Project Development, accumulating over 20 years of experience in system development especially in the development analysis and testing process
He is also certified in various professional/technical skills, namely IREB Professional Requirements Engineering (CPRE), Sun/Oracle Java programmer (SCJP), ISQTB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) and Oracle. He is also auditor for MBOT and MOSTI, in auditing the University Programme and also for grant application for Research work.
Also, he is a active research and published many novel theories in high quality impact journals. Additionally, he is co-author with SIRIM in developing national standard for Requirement Engineering (RE).
Ts Dr Shuib Basri is a HRDF freelance trainer and has given over a dozen workshops, MS SQL, Unified Modelling Language, Software Engineering, Software Requirement Engineering, Software Validation and Verification and Software Quality.
