CONTENT SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

This comprehensive course on Planning, designing, construction process, maintenance, of rainwater harvesting systems is covering the fundamentals of Rainwater harvesting (RWH) for generating green energy. RWH is a simple low-cost technique that requires minimum specific expertise or knowledge and offers many benefits.  The main aim of the training is to enhance participants’ technical knowledge on fundamental of Rain  Water Harvesting system, more emphasis on Planning, designing, construction process, maintenance. Hence the course will equip the participants with the required skills to scale-up for successful business on digital platforms for their businesses to flourish.

1. Dr Ahmad Mahamad Al-Yacouby

Dr Ahmad Mahamad Al-Yacouby is a Lecturer at the Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He obtained his PhD majoring in Offshore Structures and Vortex Induced Vibrations of production risers from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (2016), Masters of Sciences in Civil Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS(2010), and Bachelor of Sciences in Civil Engineering (Hons.) from University of Sharjah, UAE (2003). After graduation from University of Sharjah in 2003, he joined the industry and worked with the construction industry in Dubai from 2003 to 2010, with leading contracting and engineering consultancy firms, with more emphasis on high rise buildings, especially with Khatib & Alami Consolidated Engineering Company (CEC), Arkiteknik International, and Sun Engineering and Contracting LLC, Dubai-United Arab Emirates.  In terms of research, Dr. Al-Yacouby specialized in the field of Offshore Hydrodynamics and Vortex Induced Vibrations, with fine specialization on Offshore Structures, Structural Dynamics, Stochastic Nonlinear Phenomena, Vortex Induced Vibrations, Dynamic loads and responses, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Offshore Mechanics, Floating Structures, etc., Dr. Al-Yacouby is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng), and member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, Graduate Member  of  ICE(UK),  and Corporate Member of Concrete Society Malaysia (CSM) since, 2012.  He is also Committee member and the Secretariat of UTP-SKG 11 Steering Committee where he is involved in conducting research and consultancy work related to Offshore Structures and Deepwater Technology.
