INTRODUCTION
In the current data-driven world, organizations are increasingly looking for ways to extract meaningful insights from their data that could drive decision-making. One of the most advanced types of analytics is “Prescriptive Analytics”. Prescriptive analytics uses data, algorithms, and models to recommend actions for an optimum outcome. This short course has been designed to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of Prescriptive Analytics. It will start with an overview of basic Python tools that are necessary for Data analytics. The participants will then be exposed to the different types of Analytics by highlighting the fundamental concepts of each and their differences. Optimization tools, which are essential to prescriptive analytics will be introduced. Prescriptive analytics frameworks will then be presented followed with some real-world examples of prescriptive analytics applications and case studies.

1. Associate Professor Dr. Ibrahima Faye (UTP)
Ibrahima Faye is a researcher at the Centre for Intelligent Signal and Imaging Research (CISIR), a national centre of excellence. He received a BSc, MSc and PhD in Mathematics from University of Toulouse and a MS in Engineering of Medical and Biotechnological Data from Ecole Centrale Paris. His research interests include machine learning, mathematics, signal and image processing, and science of learning. He has published over 150 papers in peer reviewed journals and international conferences and holds 2 patents in image processing. He is a senior member of the IEEE and currently the chair of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society (CIS), Malaysia.
