INTRODUCTION
Flow assurance in the oil and gas industry refers to the systems put in place to guarantee uninterrupted profitable and sustainable flow of hydrocarbons from the reservoir to surface facilities and ultimately to refineries. Flow assurance challenges include: gas hydrate, corrosion, inorganic scale, asphaltene, wax etc. Managing these risks is becoming more complex because of development of fields under harsher conditions. Different engineering and chemical solutions can be put in place to manage these challenges.
The goal of this course is to allow the participants to be familiarized with Flow assurance management and the chemical used in the upstream oil and gas production system. Chemical has been used in Oil and gas industry to assure the flow in the production system which requires several chemicals to maintain production. By the end of this training course, participants will be able to understand the basic principles of gas hydrate, corrosion, inorganic scale, asphaltene, wax. And further, this 5-day intensive flow assurance and production chemistry training course provides participants with fundamental as well as technical knowledge of different prevention and controlling methods being used in in the upstream oil and gas production system
Participant will have hands on gas hydrate formation in the lab. Gas hydrate formation and dissociation data analysis and interpretation, research paper and technical report writing training will be provided to the participants.
Introduction to flow Assurance and Corrosion:
Introduction to Gas hydrate formation; Mitigating & Controlling hydrate methods
Hands on Practice
Introduction to produced water/water treatment and management: Introduction to wax and management
Introduction to asphaltene, scale and management
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
