COURSE SUMMARY
INTRODUCTION
Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy studies the physical, chemical and biological properties of a matter. This technique works on a basis of the difference produced when a nuclei absorbs and re-emits radiation when exposed to a magnetic field. The versatility of NMR makes it an essential tool in an array of fields’ including chemistry, biology, physics and medicine.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
OBJECTIVES
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
Utilize a wide variety of NMR experiments to aid in their respective research areas.
1. Associate Professor Dr Cecilia Devi Wilfred (UTP)
Mr Faisal Taha is a lecturer at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS with more than 10 years’ experience in research activities. He is actively involved in green chemistry in areas of designing new ionic liquids. He has applied NMR spectroscopy in the structure elucidation.
