CONTENT SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

In this course, one will learn to be the game changer. This course introduces digitalisation skills, digital solutions, copywriting for digital marketing as well as neuro-linguistic programming knowledge that provides participants with the skills to understand, empathize, create, innovate, and explore new tech-business opportunities. The course also introduces established business models, and strategies that integrates design thinking approach in developing online platforms and innovative solutions. Participants will experience mobile platform development hands-on modules and get the opportunity to present the solution with complete business plan in seizing the opportunities to create values and earnings. In sum, this course covers end-to-end cycle in becoming a successful freelancer and an entrepreneur. This is a golden opportunity for gig workers to learn and earn credentials to work with various industries and businesses.

OUR TRAINERS




1. Ts Dr Savita K. Sugathan  (UTP)

Ts. Dr. Savita K. Sugathan is an academic staff in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia since 2006. She received her PhD in Information Technology from UTP in 2018 and her MSc in Technology Management from University of New Wales, Sydney, Australia in 2006. She is accredited by Malaysia Board of Technologies (MBOT) as Professional Technologist (Ts.) in Information and Computing Technology. In 2019, Dr. Savita is awarded with Certified Professional in Requirements Engineering and Licensed Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She is an active member of Association of Information Systems (AIS) and a former member of Information System Audit and Control Association (ISACA). In UTP, she is a research member of Positive Computing. Her research interests are on the study of Awareness, Adoption, Acceptance & Use of Technology towards Sustainable Ecology, Well-Being and Education. Dr. Savita has published more than 50 journals and conference papers as well as has secured national & international grants amounted to RM300,000.


2. Associate Professor Dr Noreen Izza Arshad  (UTP)

Noreen Izza binti Arshad is currently an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer and Information Sciences (CISD), Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP), Malaysia. She also leads the Positive Computing Research Cluster under the Institute of Autonomous Systems at UTP. She conducts investigation and publish papers in the area of technology for the society that include robotics intervention, stuttering mobile application, content management systems and learning management systems. She has supervised more than 50 final year students on various projects that include development of mobile applications, robots, web applications, business systems and many more. Her ultimate gold is always to drive her students to create good projects that can benefit others in any way possible. Her research interest is towards understanding ways technology is used, adopted and adapted, and ways it brings value to the society, business or organizations.  She has designed some methodologies, frameworks, tools and assistive technologies that include robots for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and stuttering mobile application for speech therapists and people who stutter. Dr Noreen is one of the leaders in innovation fellowship of the Royal Academy of Engineering, U.K. She is always interested in exploring how the use of technology could lead to a better living and quality life; and ways to develop and promote technologies as enablers that could assist people in many aspects of life, including education, healthcare, and smart living.

                  




3. Dr. P.D.D.Dominic  (UTP)

Dr. P.D.D.Dominic is currently an Associate Professor in Computer and Information Sciences department, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia. He received his PhD in Management at Alagappa University, India. He received his Post-Graduate Diploma in Operations Research from Pondicherry University, India; Master of Business Administration; Master of Philosophy in Mathematics and Master of Science in Mathematics from Bharathidasan University, India. He has been working in the capacity of editorial board member for renowned journals. His research interests include Management Information Systems and Data Analytics. He has published more than 100 journals with high impact factors and distinguished indices like SCOPUS and ISI


4. Ts. Dr. Khairul Shafee Kalid 

Dr Khairul Shafee Kalid currently position as Senior Lecturer, Computer, And Information Sciences Department, Universiti Teknologi Petronas. Dr Khairul obtained academic qualification in Ph.D. Information Technology from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, M.Sc. Information Technology from Queensland University of Technology and B.B.A Computer Information Sciences from Western Michigan University. 

Area of expertise in Knowledge Management, Enterprise Systems and Enterprise Architecture. Dr Khairul Shafee Kalid Professional membership in Malaysia Board of Technologies, Association of Information Systems and Malaysian Association of Information Systems.

                  




5. Dr. Manoranjitham Muniandy (UTAR)

Dr. Manoranjitham Muniandy is an academic staff in the Department of Computer Sciences, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR), Malaysia since 2009. She received her PhD in Information Technology from UTP in 2018 and her MSc in Computer Sciences from University Science Malaysia (USM), Penang, Malaysia in 2005. She is accredited by Malaysia Board of Technologies (MBOT) as Graduate Technologist in Information and Computing Technology. In 2019, Dr. Manoranjitham was awarded with Certified Professional in Requirements Engineering and Licensed Practitioner in Neuro-Linguistic Programming. She is an active member of Association of Information Systems (AIS). Dr. Manoranjitham is also Certified Microsoft Innovative Educator. In UTAR, she is a research member for Center of Learning and Teaching (CLT) and previously held the post of secretary. Her research interests are on the application of Mobile technologies, Haptics technologies, 21st Century Learning Teaching as well as Human Well-Being.


6. Dini Tajudin (Diniflix.com)

Dini Tajudin, Branding Coach & CEO, Diniflix.com, International Speaker, Marketing in Asia’s Top 70 Rising Personalities LinkedIn Malaysia 2020. She was in sales for 21 years and built her own e-commerce business for 14 years building her brands and helping her clients build their brands and market campaigns.
