INTRODUCTION
Declining of oil prices possess challenges in oil and gas exploration and production. A new and optimized technology need to be discovered to achieve the best performance in locating the optimum oil and gas fields and predict the hydrocarbon as well as reservoir modeling especially in handing the complexity of the different fields. These complexities might come from the challenging subsurface terrain that requires advance processing technology, and lithology of the geology setting or from the fluid response. However, in most of the cases, the current technology needs a sophisticate approach to be implemented into the specific reservoir with a high success..

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to:
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
1. Dr Abdul Halim (UTP)
Dr Abdul Halim is currently leading the Centre for Subsurface Imaging (CSI), an oil and gas industry-oriented research centre in Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He obtained his MEng, MSc and Doctorate from Imperial College London, UTP and Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) respectively with special interest in seismic technology and deep-earth seismology. His main area of expertise is in seismic processing and imaging, both for active and passive seismic (including earthquake seismology). With several years as an industry practitioner with CGG Malaysia as well as researcher and academician with UTP, Halim is on a mission to spread the knowledge in geosciences and nurturing more earth scientist for a sustainable and better future.
