CONTENT SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

This programme aims to enhance the knowledge of recent graduates in the fields of engineering, non-engineering and geosciences in preparation for future career opportunities. This programme places a premium on cross-disciplinary education and the collaborative nature of modern oil and gas exploration and development. Students take a core set of geology, geophysics, petrophysics, and petroleum engineering courses, as well as electives in areas of interest.

This course covers a broad range of geoscience and engineering topics, including oil and gas outlooks, fundamentals of rock characterization, Petroleum System Elements, exploration methods for oil and gas, reservoir rock and fluid properties, and analysis of current case studies. Throughout this programme, participants will be exposed to a project that incorporates engineering and geoscience topics/issues, while also encouraging students to identify problems and devise the best solution.

The delivery of this program is relevant to gradual increment of oil price that already broke USD80/bbl which trigger more rapid development in oil and gas indsutry.
