INTRODUCTION
The course introduces the theory of pressure-transient analysis and how it can be used in conjunction with material balance to build a reservoir model for optimizing well performance.

Dr Shiferaw Regassa Jufar (UTP)
Dr Shiferaw Regassa Jufar is a Senior Lecturer and Researcher in the Department of Petroleum Engineering at the Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. He has strong technical background in multiple disciplines of Petroleum Engineering including Reservoir Engineering, Well Test Analysis, Drilling Hydraulics, and Advanced Fluid Mechanics with more than 10 years of teaching and research experience with multiple published research articles. His current research is on elastic wave based enhanced oil recovery method and reservoir fluid propagation monitoring using electrokinetic phenomena.
