INTRODUCTION
In order to characterize a reservoir system, the properties of the rock need to be known using logging tools, reservoir properties (such as porosity and permeability, water saturation etc), one way is basic coring and core analysis. This course will cover basic geology (overview sandstone/ carbonate depositional environments, stratigraphy and structure geology). Why core and Fluid Analysis important, synthetic core types of core analysis, how to measure and calculate porosity (its types), permeability (its types) and water saturation in core. It will also cover the understanding of methods to integrate core analysis data with log interpretation with geological models as per industrial applications.

1. Dr. Numair Ahmed Siddiqui (UTP)
Dr Numair Ahmed Siddiqui is a senior lecturer at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Malaysia), a certified well Petroleum Geosciences. Before joining UTP, he served in industrial at TOTAL E & P Brunei Darussalam and Oil & Gas Company Limited (OGDCL) Pakistan. Dr Numair Ahmed Siddiqui holds his PhD in Petroleum Geosciences by Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in 2016, MsC in Petroleum Geosciences by Universiti Brunei Darussalam and his Degree in Petroleum and Gas Engineering by BUIT Engineering and Technology, Pakistan in 2008. His primary interest areas include Reservoir Sedimentology, Modelling, Geomorphology, Sequence Stratigraphy. He also member of Geological Society of Malaysia
