INTRODUCTION

The need for project management has been driven by businesses that have realized the benefits of organizing work around projects and the crucial need to communicate and coordinate work across departments and professions. This introductory project management training course provides an intensive overview of the key project management concepts and techniques. The project management methods presented can be applied to a wide range of projects and the course emphasizes both the task and the team-related aspects of project management.

1. Dr Wesam   Salah   Alaloul  (UTP)

Dr Wesam   Salah   Alaloul   is   currently   a   Senior   Lecturer   at   the   Civil   and Environmental Engineering Department, Universiti  Teknologi  PETRONAS  (UTP) Malaysia.  Dr  Wesam  Salah  Alaloul  is  leading  the  Offshore  Engineering  Centre OEC) under the Institute of Autonomous Systems (IAS) at UTP. He teaches course related to materials and project management for offshore engineering. Dr Wesam Salah Alaloul is practising Output-Based Education (OBE) for more than 8 years. He was trained for active learning approach and complex engineering problems. Dr Wesam  Salah  Alaloul  research  interests  are  in  construction  management, construction material, structures decommissioning, drones’ application, pre-cast system and lifecycle cost assesstment. Also he is certified trainer for construction costing  and  sustainability  issues.  He  has  published  more  than  150  papers  in several ISI/Scopes journals and international conferences. Dr Wesam Salah Alaloul is a member of several evaluation committees for project proposals. He participated as a member of the steering committee in the sustainable urban of planning smart cities.
