CONTENT SUMMARY
INTRODUCTION
CMOS based MEMS sensors have been widely accepted by the industries due to its monolithically capability with the existing CMOS technology. These sensors can be easily integrated with the standard CMOS ICs for various application especially in IoT spectrum. This short course is intended to introduce to the beginner the CMOS-MEMS technology itself together with several example of device design and simulation using industrial software such as CoventorWare. This course will also include CMOS-MEMS designer from the industry which will talk about his experience in designing the actual CMOS-MEMS resonator using a standard CMOS technology.

1. Associate Professor Dr Mohd Haris Md Khir (UTP)
Dr Mohd Haris bin Md Khir is an Associate Professor at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (Malaysia), department Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Before joining UTP as lecturer, he served as also lecturer at Universiti Teknologi MARA and engineer at Intel (M) Sdn Bhd. Assoc. Prof. Dr Mohd Haris bin Md Khir holds his PhD in Systems Engineering by Oakland University in 2010, Msc in Computer & Systems Engineering by Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering by Universiti Teknologi MARA in 1999. His primary interest areas include Development of MEMS/NEMS based sensors or actuators and energy harvester using CMOS/MUMPS technologies for application in health, agriculture, and oil and gas, Indoor & Outdoor localisation Based on Wifi/Lorawan Using Machine Learning and A Fast Real Time Personnel Localization System (AFARLS) for Outdoor and Complex Indoor Environment.
