INTRODUCTION
Chromatography deals with separation, identification and quantification of various components in complex mixtures. As such, chromatographic techniques find applications in diverse fields ranging from chemical, biochemical, environmental, petrochemicals, food, cosmetics and pharmaceutical.
This course provides an overview of the theory and practice of chromatography techniques. Topics covered include principles of chromatographic separations, gas chromatography, liquid chromatography and maintenance of chromatograph instrument.

1. Associate Professor Dr. Noor Asmawati (UTP)
Dr. Noor Asmawati is an Associate Professor in the Department of Fundamental & Applied Sciences, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. She received her PhD in Chemistry from University of Missouri-Kansas City, USA. Her research interests include Fischer-Tropsch catalysis and catalytic conversion of CO2 into value-added products such as methanol and DME.

Mr Faisal Taha is a Lecturer in the Department of Fundamental and Applied Sciences, Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. Prior to joining UTP, he was attached to Sime Darby Tyre Technology Center Sdn. Bhd.
