OUR TRAINERS

1. Dr Nurul Ekmi Binti Rabat (UTP)

Dr Nurul Ekmi Binti Rabat is a senior lecturer of Chemical Engineering at UTP focusing on teaching & learning in Separation Processes and Process Safety. Right after her Ph.D. in Polymer Engineering in 2014 from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, she served as a Research and Development (R&D) officer at a medical devices company and in wastewater treatment laboratory. Her research work was focusing on the development superabsorbent polymer and geopolymer for various applications, with special emphasis on the environment and sustainable engineering including removal of heavy metals and dyes from

2. Dr Khairiraihanna Binti Johari(UTP)

Dr Khairiraihanna Johari received her BSc in Chemical Engineering (Polymer), MSc in Chemical Engineering and Doctorate in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). She is currently a senior lecturer of Chemical Engineering Department at Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS. She is an Associate Member of The Institution of Chemical Engineers (IChemE) and registered under Boards of Engineers Malaysia. In research, she is focusing in developing advanced and low-cost adsorbent materials, as well as heavy metals removal from industrial applications. She has published several refereed journals and articles regarding the potential of adsorbent for mercury removal applications.
