CONTENT SUMMARY

INTRODUCTION

This course is designed to provide the key steps in carrying out dynamic and process control studies for typical unit operations.

1. Associate Professor Dr Haslinda Zabiri  (UTP)

Associate Professor Dr Haslinda Zabiri current position as Associate Professor, Chemical Engineering Department, Universiti Teknologi  PETRONAS and Program Manager, M.Sc. Proc. Integration.

AP Dr Haslinda obtained PhD in Chemical Engineering (Advanced Process Control) from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS in 2013. She has 3 Years’ experience with Seagate (M) Penang Sdn. Bhd. She also is an Associate Member of  IChemE (The Institution of Chemical Engineers) Her expertise is on Control Valve Stiction Detection, Quantification and Compensation methods, Hybrid Model Predictive Control, Modeling, Simulation and Control of CO2 Capture Systems, Process Safety & Multivariate statistical methods for monitoring and diagnostics of industrial process systems.


2. Associate Professor Dr Syed Ali (NED Karachi, Pakistan)

Associate Professor Dr Syed Ali current position as Assistant Professor, Department of Chemical Engineering, NED University of Engineering & Technology, Pakistan and Member of IChemE and IEEE.

Dr Syed Ali Ammar Taqvi obtained Doctor of Philosophy in Chemical Engineering from Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS, Malaysia, in January 2020. He is an Associate Member of IChemE, Member of IChemE and IEEE.His area of expertise is on Process Modeling and Simulation, Fault Detection and Diagnosis using Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Algorithms, Modeling, Simulation and Control of CO2 Capture Systems, Multivariate statistical methods for monitoring and diagnostics of industrial process systems & Predictive Analytics in renewable systems.
